Life changing news for Ville Husso to keep him from Global Series
The news was announced in the early morning hours.

While the Detroit Red Wings are in Sweden to take on the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs, one key member of the team will not be participating.
Goaltender Ville Husso is unavailable, but for a great reason. He and his wife have welcomed a baby girl, meaning that the goaltending duties will belong to both James Reimer and Alex Lyon. According to head coach Derek Lalonde, it will be Reimer getting the start on Thursday, and Lyon could get his first start with Detroit on Friday, though that isn't written in stone.
The news was announced in the wee hours for those who live in Detroit, though it was around 10:00 AM Swedish time!
Congratulations to the growing Husso family!
