Lightning injury report is so bad it's almost comical.

The expectations for the Tampa Bay Lightning were very high this season and while you don't want to make any excuse for a team that is under-performing it's very difficult to blame the Lightning given their current predicament.

On Friday Tampa Bay Liughtning head coach John Cooper shared some injury updates and the situation is getting so bad it almost feels like a joke, although you can bet the Lightning aren't laughing. According to Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times Cooper informed him that both Nikita Kucherov and Ondrej Palat would both be out for at least the next two games.

To make matters worse for the Lightning Ryan Callhan continues to be sidelined with an injury and of course there's the devastating injury to superstar forward Steven Stamkos to take into consideration as well. 

Whether or not you cheer for the Lightning, it's hard not to feel bad for them this season.
