Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark is in the midst of his second season with the Original 6 franchise after spending the first portion of his career with the Buffalo Sabres. And he's easily having the finest campaign of his professional life, enjoying a 20-1-1 record with a sparkling 1.90 goals against average.

Right how, Ullmark is clear and away the frontrunner for the Vezina Trophy as the National Hockey League's best goaltender. And though the 2023 NHL Awards are still months away, Ullmark has already earned an honor from the League - he's officially been named the 2022 Unmasked Goalie of the Year.

Per NHL.com, the Unmasked Goaltender of the Year award "has strived to recognize someone, or something, that dominates conversations in the goalie world during the past 12 months".

Ullmark has formed an incredible tandem with Jeremy Swayman, and the fans have grown to love their epic postgame celebration.

"We had no idea it was going to turn into what it is now and we're so thankful for it, but we really harp on understanding that it's not for show whatsoever," Swayman told NHL.com earlier this season of his tandem with Ullmark. "We do it because we just love each other, and to see how it's impacted the goalie communities is pretty incredible."

"We know what it's like to be a goalie in Boston and it's incredible to have that support from the one guy you are competing with every day," Swayman said, "But we're going to do whatever we can to help his team win, and that's a pretty special thing."
