Logan Thompson embroiled in controversy over gear design
This has caused quite the stir on social media.
The tenure for Logan Thompson with the Vegas Golden Knights came to a close this offseason, as he was sent to the Washington Capitals in exchange for a pair of 3rd round Draft selections.
Thompson has already received his new Capitals-themed mask and personalized Bauer equipment, but he has found himself at the center of controversy after online critics pointed out that his gear design closely resembles a highly controversial symbol.

The responses were swift, calling out Thompson for not fully thinking his pad design through:
However, not every response was negative:
Entering his first season with the Capitals, Thompson has amassed a record of 56-32-11 with a 2.67 goals against average, .912 save percentage and four shutouts.
