During a difficult season for the Flyers, sometimes it is good to take a look at the past.
Rod Brind'Amour was introduced into the Flyers Hall of Fame tonight before the Flyers took on the Carolina Hurricanes. It was fitting considering he won the Cup with the Hurricanes.
Brind'Amour played 9 seasons with the Flyers from 1991 to 2000. During that time he scored 235 goals, adding 366 assists for 601 points. He also set th Flyers ironman record by playing in 484 straight games.
He quickly became a fan favorite with his hard work and never give up attitude. He was relentless and always gave everything he had every game and every shift. He led by example and was the perfect example of a true Philadelphia Flyer.
Every time Rod comes back to Philly, he gets stopped by Flyers fans and even after all these years. It means so much to him.
Thank you Rod!
