LOOK: Borderline hit by T.J. Oshie leads directly to Caps go-ahead goal!

Should this have been called?

You be the judge of this one.

The Washington Capitals were able to take 2-1 lead over the Florida Panthers midway through the 3rd period of last night's pivotal Game 4 at Capital One Arena thanks to a beautiful breakaway tally from forward Evgeny Kuznetsov. The Russian forward demonstrated tremendous patience in out waiting his countryman in Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky before depositing the puck past him from a sharp angle.

But what directly led to the goal understandably had more than a few Panthers fans fuming. Forward T.J. Oshie caught Panthers forward Sam Bennett with what appeared to be a high hit just moments before Alex Ovechkin retrieved the puck and fed Kuznetsov.

The hit left Bennett bloodied on the bench.

Take a look at another angle of the hit:

Should Oshie have been penalized, thus taking away Kuznetsov's go-ahead tally? Thankfully for the Cats, the incident didn't come back to bite them due to the fact that they were able to tie the score late and then earn the victory in overtime courtesy of a Carter Verhaege goal.
