Lucas Raymond victimized by dirty slew-foot

That's a suspendable play.

We've already seen one example this season of a Detroit Red Wings player being taken out with a dirty and dangerous slew-foot, as Alex DeBrincat was victimized by Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman during a game in November; Hartman wasn't penalized on the ice but would later receive punishment from the NHL Department of Player Safety in the form of a two game suspension.

And now, we've got yet another example of that taking place, though the penalties were in reverse. Anaheim Ducks defenseman Radko Gudas, who has already injured Red Wings forward Klim Kostin this season, took down forward Lucas Raymond with a dirty slew-foot during last night's game at Honda Center at the end of the 1st period. Thankfully, Raymond didn't appear to suffer any ill effects from the dangerous play and remained in the game.

Gudas would be whistled for a two minute minor, but as of now, no discipline has come down from the NHL.

For those of you who may not have seen it the first time, take a look back at Ryan Hartman's slew-foot of DeBrincat back in November that earned him a suspension for the next pair of games:

Should Gudas be facing a stiffer penalty from the NHL?
