Luke Schenn picks sides in Morgan Rielly cross check incident
The former Leafs defenseman weighs in.

Former Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Luke Schenn, who had played two stints with the franchise including a brief reunion after being re-acquired at last season’s NHL Trade Deadline, has made his thoughts know in the wake of the Morgan Rielly cross check the face of Ottawa Senators forward Ridly Grieg.
”I thought [the empty-netter] was ridiculous, honestly,” he said. “I’m on Rielly’s side on this one. Obviously, it was an accident to cross-check him in the face... Maybe he needs some perspective there not to do that.”
Is Schenn right to stand up for his former teammate?
