Putting up the for sale sign!

Earlier this week, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek talked about Vancouver Canucks defenseman Luke Schenn’s value. On The Jeff Marek Show, they pointed to what rival teams could come calling and it sounds like Schenn might be a very coveted piece in Vancouver’s fire sale.
"He’s really become, he’s stayed in this league long enough that, that is now, the way that he plays, is now valued and treasured by every single team in the NHL. To me the Luke Schenn career arc, and when he’s valued and when he’s not and when there’s a premium on how he plays. Right now, to that point, there’s only a handful of guys that do that.
And who wants guys that do that? Elliotte, everybody.”
Friedman: “Everybody does. Everybody who is trying to win a Stanley Cup does. Absolutely. Everybody is.”
Schenn’s agent, Ben Hankinson, jumped on the opportunity to point out his client’s top qualities on social media, promoting him as a trade target.
Hankinson pasted the paragraph that described Schenn on the Canucks Army blog page, who kicked off the list with the sentences: Really, Schenn doesn’t just look like a good deadline acquisition, he might just be the perfect deadline acquisition.
Later on, Hankinson defended his tweet by saying that he was only sharing “an interesting read on Luke and his value, NOT at all promoting a trade, he loves playing in Vancouver!”
But it sure does sound like some advertisement… Maybe Hankinson knows the phone will be ringing after this for his client.
