That's hockey, baby!
Nathan MacKinnon is an absolute truck, that much we know.
The Colorado Avalanche's superstar forward shifted into overdrive earlier this evening, throwing the old 'reverse hit' on New York Islanders defenseman Alexander Romanov.
Romanov appeared to have MacKinnon lined up for a huge neutral zone hit but Mackinnon just trucked right on through him, exploding through the hit and sending Romanov and his helmet absolutely flying.

That's hockey, baby!
In all seriousness, I love seeing this kind of play from MacKinnon. When a superstar forward is willing to use his body and throw his weight around, it can have an enormous impact on the team. And to be perfectly frank, the Avalanche could use an injection of energy these days.
