MacKinnon scores best goal of the postseason so far with amazing coast to coast rush

One of the best goals you’ll ever see in these NHL playoffs!

This has to be the goal of the 2022 postseason.

In one of the greatest individual goals probably in Colorado Avalanche history, star forward Nathan MacKinnon scored one of the best goal I’ve ever seen. The superstar found the back of the net for a third time late in the third period of Game 5 to score a hat trick against the St. Louis Blues.

With 2:45 remaining in regulation MacKinnon went from coast to coast, driving the puck all in the way into the zone and slicing and dicing his way through the Blues defense, made sweet dekes with the puck and fired it over the blocker of the Blues’ goaltender Ville Husso for the go-ahead goal.

It didn’t stand up, however, as Robert Thomas scored the tying goal with less than a minute left to send the game to overtime.

But as soon as MacKinnon scored and hats flew onto the ice, the goal was trending seconds later.

Have some more looks at that beauty of a goal.

Unfortunately for the Avalanche, it was not enough. The Avalanche took a 3-0 lead halfway through the game, but the Blues not only completed the comeback to push the game into overtime: Tyler Bozak scored the game-winning goal to get the Blues a 5-4 win, hence, going back to St. Louis for Game 6.

I can’t believe this amazing goal was not enough.
