He's the presumptive No. 1 overall selection in this summer's NHL Draft, and he's just added another feather in his cap.
Macklin Celebrini, a freshman playing for the Boston University Terriers, scored his 32nd goal of the season earlier today as part of a 6-3 triumph over the RIT Tigers in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Division I men’s ice hockey tournament.
And in doing so, he overtook former Michigan State Spartans forward Craig Simpson for most goals scored by an under-18 player in NCAA history.
He has scored 32 goals with 29 assists in just 36 games played this season for Boston University, and is the presumptive No. 1 overall selection for whomever is fortunate enough to win the NHL Draft Lottery.
