Step aside, Magic... there's a new superstar in town and his name is Quinton Byfield.
The Los Angeles Kings of course selected forward Quinton Byfield 2nd overall at the 2020 NHL Entry Draft this week making him the highest selected black player in NHL history. This fact didn't escape former Los Angeles Lakers superstar Magic Johnson, who passed along congratulations to Byfield.

How cool is that? In a city know for its star power, Byfield should fit in just fine.
The kid is not only supremely talented on the ice, but he has that star power off the ice. He's got style, he's got personality and he's very well spoken. In other words, this kid was tailor made for the City of Angels.
