The National Hockey League is making yet another change to the expansion format, and once again it's entirely for the benefit of NHL fans.
The first big change came when the NHL announced that it would reveal the "protected" lists from each NHL team 48 hours before the expansion draft, a change that was made due to huge public pressure form both fans and the press, and now they've gone one step further.
According to a report from The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, NHL Deputy Commissioner has informed him that the window will be moved back an additional 24 hours, which means fans will have access to the protected list a full three-days before the draft.
It's great news for fans as it will provide them ample time to speculate about who Las Vegas will pick and, perhaps more importantly. about what players their favorite teams may lose as a result of the Golden Knights entering the NHL.
