Major development in Mitch Marner carjacking case
This was a surprising story when it broke last year.

Last spring, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner had his Range Rover SUV stolen in Etobicoke at the Cineplex theater, just days after the team was eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The good news is that Toronto Police have made arrests in the case. Per The Athletic:
"Two suspects were arrested Wednesday, Toronto Police said Friday, while the search continues for a third suspect. Six charges were laid against a 24-year-old man from Brampton, Ont., including two counts of robbery with a firearm. A 21-year-old Toronto man faces two charges, including one count of robbery with a firearm."
For Marner, he was understandably relieved at the fact that he gets some closure in what truly was a scary situation.
"It's great, strictly because that problem has been going on for a while now in Toronto and I think it's hard to narrow it down to who the people are because of what they're doing and wearing and hiding their face so well....it puts a lot of trust in the Toronto police knowing they're getting the job done and not stopping and are trying to fix this problem. Obviously, it's a great relief to try and get that off the streets and make this place safe as it should be. This past year or so, it hasn't really felt like that, it's felt chaotic and crazy. The cops did a great job in trying to fix it and help out that problem."
"It's good to not talk about it anymore, to be honest," he continued. "Obviously it's not a moment that you want anyone you know personally or just anyone to be a part of. It's a scary situation and a situation that I don't think any person want to be part of or experience, especially with a loved one. Looking back on it, it's a scary experience with everyone going on....it's nice to have the closure."
The Land Rover was eventually recovered by police.
