Good news for Predators fans as it appears that their netminder Pekka Rinne is one step closer to returning to action. Rinne who was expected to be out three to five weeks after he suffered a knee injury back on January 13th participated in practice for the first time since the injury today. While Rinne by no means participated in full he did take a couple of reps in net while alternating with Marek Mazanec. Even with the injury Rinne is still the league leader in wins and is arguably the leading candidate for both the Vezina Trophy and the Hart Memorial Trophy. Nashville fans are certainly hoping that it's closer to three weeks, the Predators who were the hottest team in the league with Rinne, are now just 2-2 since his injury.
