Vancouver Police issue a statement.
EDITOR'S NOTE: This is an update to our previously published story involving Vancouver Canucks forward Evander Kane and a report from this past weekend that alleges he was involved in an assault.
Vancouver Police (VPD) have issued a statement saying that the have no record of Kane being involved in any assault and have attributed the rumor, essentially, to fake news.
Joshua Marshall and Phil St0ckley of the Edmonton Oilers-centric 2 Mutts Hockey Podcast reported the story this past weekend with no sources and no real proof.
The story spread like wildfire on social media, necessitating this update from VPD.
While it may come across as the Kettle calling the Pot black given the amount of rumors that we publish on Hockey Feed, we'll never simply make up a story with zero sources just for engagement. Do better, Mutts. I like your podcast and appreciate your work, but this ain't it...
