The bad news for the Toronto Maple Leafs is that they've been without the services of offensive forward Mitch Marner for nearly the last calendar month after he suffered a high ankle sprain against the Boston Bruins on March 7. The good news is that they've gone an impressive 7-3-1 without him, but that doesn't mean they're looking to keep him off the ice.

And based on multiple reports, it looks as though Marner is on track to return by tomorrow's game against the Original 6 and divisional rival Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre.

Marner is one of Toronto's leading scorers with 25 goals and 51 assists in the 62 games that he's been able to appear in this season.

The Leafs line combinations that they worked with today at practice are as follows:

Bertuzzi - Matthews - Domi
McMann - Tavares - Marner
Knies - Holmberg - Nylander
Dewar - Kampf - Reaves
Gregor, Robertson

Rielly - Lyubushkin
Benoit - McCabe
Giordano - Brodie
Edmundson - Timmins
