The young Bruins shined in yesterday’s preseason opener against the Blue Jackets, even though they lost 3-2 in shootouts.

Sonny Milano scored two minutes into the second period to give Columbus the lead. Jake DeBrusk fed Jimmy Hayes one beautiful pass that tied the game to one a piece a less than two minutes later.

Daniel Zaar gave the lead to the Blue Jackets a few minutes later, and at the beginning of the third period, Danton Heinen tipped a nice pass from Brandon Carlo to tie it 2-2.

Sam Gagner then pulled some magic and won the game in shootout, deking McIntyre.

With their chemistry, hockey sense, and most of all, their passing game, I’m hopeful the prospects will be a force in the not-so-distant future.
