Maple Leafs announce new deal for Pontus Holmberg
Another familiar face will be back next year!

The Toronto Maple Leafs and new general manager Brad Treliving have already taken care of an important matter of business, re-signing forward David Kampf to a four year contract worth $9.6 million.
And now, the Leafs have announced another one of their assets will in fact be returning next season. Along with Kampf, Toronto has signed forward Pontus Holmberg to a two year contract extension worth $800,000 per season.
Originally taken by the Maple Leafs in the sixth round of the 2018 NHL Draft, Holmberg appeared in 37 games last season, scoring five goals with eight assists. He also appeared in 36 games with their American Hockey League affiliate Toronto Marlies, scoring 10 goals with 12 assists while also racking up another six goals and two assists in seven playoff games.
