Live in Game 3 of the series against the Panthers. Watch below:
The Toronto Maple Leafs traveled to Florida with the objective of getting a third straight win over the Panthers in the second round series on Friday night.
Matthew Knies did not waste any time, scoring 23 seconds in on Cats goalie Sergei Bobrovsky.
You read that right, 23 short seconds.
Later in that same first frame, it was John Tavares who gave the Maple Leafs a 2-0 lead when he scored a beautiful wrap around goal on a helpless Bobrovsky.
Per Luke Fox, the Maple Leafs have been torching Bobrovsky in the series, scoring 11 goals in just seven periods of action.
Luckily for Bobrovsky and the Panthers, captain Aleksander Barkov cut the Leafs’ lead in half when he finally answered for his team.
Fans better buckle up. This one’s shaping up be a doozy!
