Maple Leafs call ups set off alarm bells.

Another injury to the Maple Leafs.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have made a pair of moves that has caused some concern among their fan base.

On Saturday morning, the Maple Leafs announced a pair of unexpected call ups when they revealed that both Bobby McMann and Joseph Woll would be joining the main roster after being called up from the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies. While both men have been utilized by the Maple LEafs' this season, the concern stems from the fact that these call ups are often indicators of a potential injury.

The call up of McMann comes as relatively little surprise given the fact that Leafs forward Noel Acciari was banged up last night, but that only explains one of these moves from the Maple Leafs.

The big concern of course is surrounding veteran goaltender Matt Murray who is set to face his former team tonight in the Ottawa Senators. Murray has had several opportunities to face his former team already this season but has been unable to do so due to the fact that he has been injured, and it would be a shame to see injuries step in between that potential clash yet again.

To be clear no injuries have as of yet been officially reported by the Maple Leafs, and we expect an update on the motivations behind these call ups shortly.
