Maple Leafs get destroyed live on TSN after just 2 games this season!
Brutal analysis on what fans expected of the Leafs and what they’ve shown so far!

The Toronto Maple Leafs are only two games — played 24 hours apart — into their regular-season schedule. Let’s not hit the panic button. However that did not prevent the crew of TSN’s OverDrive to destroy the Leafs’ efforts so far, as Jeff O’Neill, Brian Hayes and Jamie McLellan had no mercy for the team with a 1-1-0 record.
Fans quickly noticed how the Maple Leafs came out flat in its home opener Wednesday despite the 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens. On Thursday night, the Ottawa Senators built a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes as the Maple Leafs struggled to find their groove in time for a comeback, losing 3-2.
Once again when meeting with media and reporters, the Maple Leafs are finding the right words : we weren’t good enough, we have slow starts, etc… But as the three hosts of OverDrive say without mercy, the Maple Leafs need to prove they mean it when they say this is their year.
O’Neill explained how there was no consistency in the Leafs’ game as their game lack bite and intensity. Hayes expected the roster to come out angry and ready to prove they are contenders, while McLellan added that they don’t look committed to anything right now.
As they started analyzing players and what they have shown so far, McLellan expressed how Pierre Engvall was a programmable player, who needs to be told what to do, while none of the hosts has been impressed with Nick Ritchie. Despite his stature, they say he’s only noticeable because he does nothing.
Wow.
Brutal analysis by the guys of OverDrive, but that might just push the Maple Leafs’ buttons to get them to come out with intensity on Saturday as they face the Senators again, but this time in Toronto.
But they can’t start slow or else, the guys on OverDrive will have their number on the next show!
