While the Toronto Maple Leafs are back in action tonight at Scotiabank Arena following the NHL All-Star weekend against the desperate New York Islanders, one member of the team who will not be available to play is forward David Kampf.

Not only will he not play tonight against New York, but apparently will not be available for the entire week owing to an injury that he suffered right before the All-Star break.

"He got banged up a bit just before the break," according to head coach Sheldon Keefe. "They weren’t happy with how it settled down throughout the break. He is not quite ready. He is going to get an MRI today."

"There's something there they found on the MRI that's going to require some time to heal," he continued. "It's usually a couple of weeks for a timeline, but it's funny because it happened before the break and all that so he's already sort of on his way."

Kampf, currently in his 3rd year with the Leafs, has scored four goals with four assists in 46 games played this season.

In the absence of Kampf, take a peek at tonight's projected Maple Leafs line combinations:

Knies – Tavares – Bertuzzi
Robertson – Domi – Gregor
McMann – Holmberg – Reaves

Lagesson – Brodie
Benoit – McCabe
Giordano – Liljegren
Timmins

Samsonov
Jones
