The Maple Leafs may already be in desperation mode despite the fact that we are only in the month of November.

On Saturday, the Maple Leafs officially confirmed their lineup ahead of their scheduled clash against the Montreal Canadiens on Hockey Night in Canada Saturday night, with one particular decision from head coach Craig Berube raising a few eyebrows. That decision from Berube is one to continue to lean on the services of goaltender Joseph Woll for what will be a 4th consecutive game, a risky move considering Woll is coming off of an extended layoff to start the season.

Berube is obviously trying to give his Leafs the best possible chance to win and with a 2.25 goals against average and a .923 save percentage since his return, there's no questionn that Woll is the best option.

The concern here is of course that Woll will be overworked which could potentially lead to injuries, something that many believe is the case with Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz who has been sidelined by injury. Stolarz was forced to take on a much heavier workload than his body was accustomed to when Woll was out of the lineup for the first month of the season, and there are many who believe that contributed to his current status.

There will only be a single lineup change tonight when the Maple Leafs take on the Canadiens, with Berube announcing that Simon Benoit will dress for the Leafs tonight while Jacob Quillan will sit out as a healthy scratch.
