Maple Leafs make sudden change of plans in end of season availability.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are changing things up, is that a sign of big changes on the horizon?

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signaled a change of plans, and that has left many wondering if the shoe is finally about to drop on significant changes to the current status quo in Toronto.

On Sunday night, National Hockey League insider Chris Johnston reported that the Leafs would be making a significant shift in their end of season media availability this week. According to Johnston, Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe will meet with members of the media on Monday, as will the members of the Maple Leafs roster.

According to Johnston, a few days after Keefe and the players face the media, members of Maple Leafs 'management' will meet with the media. Although which members of the Maple Leafs front office are expected to be present has yet to be revealed, we will get an answer to that question by Thursday when that media availability is scheduled to take place.

It seems highly unlikely that the Maple Leafs would announce significant changes to their roster in the few days between both media availabilities, but the same can't be said when it comes to head coach Sheldon Keefe. Some have already predicted that Keefe will be fired in the next few days, and that window would certainly give Maple Leafs management time to execute a move of that nature should they choose to do so.
