On Thursday, the Vegas Golden Knights made the announcement that the team has pledged a minimum of $500,000 to pay T-Mobile Arena employees during the shutdown.

Why are they able to make such a commitment?

Probably because star goalie Marc-Andre Fleury led the way with a $100,000 donation!

The netminder made a great statement on how important the staff of the arena is to the experience fans get to enjoy when they visit T-Mobile Arena and how important it was for him to help out.

“A big part of what makes the Vegas Golden Knights game day experience so memorable is the staff working behind the scenes. As players we truly appreciate all the employees who work so hard in making The Fortress the best place to play in the NHL.
“They‘re just as much a part of the Las Vegas community as we are. My family & I hope that these contributions not only help those in need, but also inspire others who are in fortunate positions to step up & find ways to help too.
“We can’t wait to see the employees and our fans again soon.”

What a class act that guy is!

Owner Bill Foley is also said to have made a generous donation. That's just great to hear for the employees in Vegas.
