Marc-Andre Fleury out of playoff tournament?!

What does this all mean for Vegas?!

A few weeks ago, it was made clear that Vegas Golden Knights star goalie Marc-Andre Fleury would have to fight for his place to be the team’s starting goalie for the upcoming 24-team playoff tournament in the National Hockey League. After all, it made sense, the Golden Knights acquired veteran netminder Robin Lehner at the trade deadline, and both goalies would need to prove they can handle the workload of the resumed season.

However, there seems to be something wrong with Flower and it has started to worry fans in Vegas, and across the league, seeing that he is one of the most popular player in the circuit.

According to team insider David Schoen, things are getting quite worrisome around the team’s practice as Flower did not participate in practice for the second straight day. Fleury was hanging out on the bench before the start of practice and the team has not listed him “unfit to play.”

When asked about his goalie, head coach Pete DeBoer didn’t offer an update on him.

The 2019-20 season has been quite tough on Fleury, he who lost his father to cancer back in November. Back in January, the 35-year-old had admitted that he hadn’t been himself in recent weeks. He tried to stay busy, but explained how the quiet times have been the hardest to handle.

The NHL pause might have been quite hard on him…

We hope to know more on his status as training camp continues… We hope for the best for Flower as many fans cannot wait to see him in action on the ice.
