Marc-Andre Fleury’s agent’s latest comments has everyone talking!

Allan Walsh dropped a bombshell and what he had to say about his client got people talking. Full story below:

Marc-André Fleury has said he plans to retire, but in the last weeks, he’s had fans wondering if the door for one more season is really closed.

The veteran goalie recently suited up for Team Canada at the World Championship, playing alongside his longtime friend Sidney Crosby. And according to his agent, Allan Walsh, Fleury had an absolute blast despite Canada getting shockingly eliminated by Denmark in the quarterfinals.

When taking a look at his numbers during the tournament, it is clear “Flower” still has game. In three starts, he posted a 0.97 goals-against average and a .944 save percentage. Not exactly the stats of someone ready to hang up the pads.

On his podcast, Walsh did not outright say Fleury is planning a return — but the way he spoke definitely leaves the door cracked open.

“You never know…”

Walsh knows Fleury better than anyone, and it’s possible he’s not leaking more information out of respect for his client’s decision-making process. Still, based on his tone, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Fleury give it one more go.

I personally feel like it’s just wishful thinking for fans out there. As a reliable backup or mentor, Fleury would be a valuable asset to any team looking for stability in net and leadership in the dressing room. He’s one of the most respected players in the league, beloved by teammates and fans alike. His presence alone lifts a room.

But Fleury had a great season with the Wild, went around the league and lived emotional goodbyes in different arenas. I get that he might have felt the desire to reignite that competitive fire after his run with Team Canada, but I just don’t think he would do it.

Walsh is probably pulling everyone’s leg though everyone would love to see Fleury extend his NHL career a little more…
