Beloved goalie Marc-Andre Fleury joined the Pittsburgh Penguins for practice this morning and the facility was packed.

Fleury, who retired this past offseason, is joining the Penguins on a professional tryout and practiced with the team on Friday before suiting up with the team one last time during Saturday’s preseason game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Fans and all Penguins’ players were not going to miss Flower’s return on Friday and the veteran netminder also made sure his family was present for the exciting weekend.

One of his children, son James, was caught backstage and in the dressing room area, and it is clear that he is his father’s son. Cameras filmed the young boy as he went around playing pranks in the players’ stall, placing fake bugs in his own father’s pads and in the hockey tape of star forward Evgeni Malkin.

What a wholesome moment, and it was also touching to see pictures of Fleury back in the Pens’ quarters and seeing him enjoy breakfast with some of his closest friends, captain Sidney Crosby and star defenseman Kris Letang.

Tomorrow’s game is expected to be emotional, but fans want to enjoy every waking moment and give Fleury the Pittsburgh farewell he truly deserves.
