Marc Bergevin makes unbelievable comments about player loyalty.

The Montreal Canadiens lost one of their top forwards to free agency this summer and their general manager might not be very happy about it. 

Habs general manager Marc Bergevin was asked on Monday whether or not he expected loyalty from Russian star Alexander Radulov, and his response raised a number of eyebrows. 

According to NHL.com's Arpon Basu, here's what the Habs GM had to say on the topic:

"If you want loyalty, buy a dog," said Bergevin.

Sounds like Bergevin doesn't expect players to be loyal at all, although if he meant that as criticism of Radulov it would surely have to come off as hypocritical. NHL general managers will trade a player without a moment's notice if they believe they can improve their team, and Bergevin has been no stranger to shocking trades in recent years.
