Marchand and Spooner set to return?
Keystone Press

According to a report from NBC Sports Boston’s Joe Haggerty, Boston Bruins forwards Brad Marchand and Ryan Spooner are expected to join their teammates today in practice.

Marchand has been out of the lineup with an undisclosed injury for over two weeks now and the B’s have suffered as a result. The team put up four straight losses without Marchand, but have since bounced back with two straight wins over the Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks. The 29-year-old Marchand has eight goals and 15 points in 14 games this season.

As for Spooner, the streaky scorer has been out with a groin tear since October 16th. The 25-year-old is facing a pivotal season with the B’s but has managed just one assist in five games.
