Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Mark Giordano is the elder statesman on the team at 38 years of age, and he’s been around the game a long time. Naturally, he’s well aware of the unwritten code shared by all hockey players that one does not let their superstar forward get messed with without immediate and severe reprocussion.
