You always have to be careful of who you are going up against when you drop the gloves, and unfortunately for Detroit Red Wings star defenseman Moritz Seider that would be a lesson he would learn the hard way on Saturday night.

Seider and the Red Wings faced off against the Boston Bruins on Saturday night and it would be at the end of the first period that things would turn ugly for Seider and the Wings. With only seconds left in the period, Seider would get involved in some pushing and shoving with Bruins forward Mark Kastelic. That pushing and shoving quickly turned into the two men dropping the gloves, a decision that Seider will no doubt regret when he looks back on this game.

Kastelic, who is the taller and the heavier man at 6'4 234 lbs when compared to Seider at 6'2 210 lbs, was the aggressor in this one and had Seider on the defensive the entire time. Unfortunately for Seider that would leave his chin exposed and it wasn't long before Kastelic fired off a monsterous right hand that connected square on Seider's jaw and sent Seider crashing down to the ice.

The NHL officials quickly jumped in to save Seider but the damage was already done, with Kastelic the clear winner this time around.
