Mark Stone Signs A New Deal On Saturday.

The Vegas Golden Knights will not have any distractions during the regular season.

On Saturday, Golden Knights captain Mark Stone signed a 2 year contract extension to remain with the team that he has led on the ice since January of 2021. Stone was entering the final year of an 8 year deal that carried an average annual value and salary cap hit of $9.5 million per season and has agreed to take less money on his next contract.

The 2 year extension carries a cap hit of just $9 million per season, a bargain when you consider some of the contracts that have been handed out in the National Hockey League this summer.

Stone is coming off another impressive season in which he saw 28 goals and 45 assists 73 points over just 60 regular games and is primed to continue to lead this franchise for the next 3 years at 34 years of age.
