It appears Martin Brodeur will at the very least get a chance to appear in a National Hockey League game once again. The St. Louis Blues have announced that Brodeur will be joining them at practice starting tomorrow for what Sportsnet's Chris Johnston is calling a tryout. The Blues lost goaltender Brian Elliott to lower body injury this week and it appears that the Blues will rely on Brodeur to fill the void left at the back up goal tending position. Blues general manager Doug Armstrong made the announcement when speaking to the media:
"Marty has agreed to come in and practice through early next week," Blues general manager Doug Armstrong said. "We will address the media at Friday’s practice at Scottrade."
What do you think? Should Brodeur come back and play for a team other than New Jersey? It certainly will be strange to see him in a uniform other than the Devils.
