Martin Brodeur names his Top 5 active goalies in the NHL.

Legendary NHL goaltender Martin Brodeur has picked the 5 best goalies he feels are in the league right now.

Martin Brodeur has named 5 goalies that he believes are the best of the best among the current crop of National Hockey League goaltenders, but I get the feeling that at least one NHL fan base is going to feel that their guy got snubbed.

Brodeur, who is considered by many to be the greatest NHL goaltender of all time, recently named the 5 goalies he feels belong on the list but he may have snubbed a pretty darn good goaltender in the process. First let's look at the 5 goalies Brodeur actually picked:

Andrei Vasilevskiy
- Tampa Bay Lightning
Igor Shesterkin
- New York Rangers
Ilya Sorokin
- New York Islanders
Adin Hill
- Vegas Golden Knights
Jacob Markstrom
-  Calgary Flames

The obvious name missing from this list is Connor Hellebuyck of the Winnipeg Jets, a goaltender who has been a perennial Vezina trophy candidate for the last several years. The fact that Hellebuyck is once again among the frontrunners to win the Vezina this season, and perhaps even the favorite, makes this snub from Brodeur seem all that much more egregious.

What do you think of the list from the Hall of Fame goaltender? Do you agree with his picks? Was Hellebuyck snubbed? Should another goalie have also made the list? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
