Martin St. Louis gives a big update on captain Nick Suzuki.

A big update on Nick Suzuki.

The Montreal Canadiens will finally get to see their newly minted captain hit the ice, but unfortunately it won't be tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

On Monday, Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis revealed that the Habs would see the return of their captain on Tuesday, during a preseason game against the Ottawa Senators. Suzuki has been out of action thus far in the preseason after he suffered a lower body injury, which will make his appearance against the Senators on Tuesday his preseason debut.

Fortunately for the Canadiens they still have two additional games left on their preseason schedule following Tuesday's contest, both of which will also be disputed against the Ottawa Senators. This means that, in theory, Suzuki will have plenty of chance to get some game time under his belt before the regular season gets under way.

If you're looking for more details regarding who will be playing in tonight's game at the Bell Center, you can see the full lineup for both the Canadiens and the Leafs right here.

Update: The Canadiens shared this video of Suzuki working out on the ice today:
