The Anaheim Ducks have just traded top forward Mason McTavish to the St. Louis Blues for the 15th overall pick and the 29th overall pick on Friday night during the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft in Buffalo.

Earlier today, it was reported that significant offers had been made by the New York Rangers and the Blues, who had become front-runners in the McTavish sweepstakes. St. Louis has come out the winner here.

McTavish is a left-shooting center who was selected third overall by Anaheim in the 2021 draft. He recorded 17 goals and 24 assists for 41 points across 75 regular-season games last season, then added six points in 10 playoff contests. He carries five more years on a contract with an average annual value of $7 million.

McTavish helped guide the Ducks to the playoffs for the first time since 2017-18 this past season. Anaheim however fell to the Vegas Golden Knight in six games of the second round.

In 304 career NHL games - all with the Ducks, McTavish has 77 goals and 181 points.
