Massive update on Auston Matthews ahead of Game 7.

The Toronto Maple Leafs got their first real update on Auston Matthews since Game 4.

The Toronto Maple Leafs may have gotten a very good sign on Saturday morning.

For the first time since Game 4, Maple Leafs star forward Auston Matthews has been spotted out on the ice with his teammates. Matthews was held out of the lineup for both Game 5 and Game 6 of this series, both of which the Maple Leafs won, due to what is believed to be some kind of illness.

There has been no indication one way or another regarding Matthews' status for Game 7 just yet, but his presence on the ice ahead of the deciding game in this series has to be seen as a good sign. Matthews was participating in drills and can be seen skating alongside teammate Ryan Reaves in the short clip below.
