The NHL's heavyweight champion has taken down another contender.

Surely there will come a time when players around the National Hockey League decide to stop challenging Columbus Blue Jackets enforcer Mathieu Olivier.

On Saturday night Olivier, the NHL's uncrowned heavyweight champion, and his Blue Jackets faced off against the St. Louis Blues and it wasn't long before the gloves would come off. In fact less than 5 minutes had expired on the game clock before Olivier would once again defend his unofficial heavyweight title against Blues defenseman Tyler Tucker.

The two men would drop the gloves and square off at center ice and it wasn't long before Olivier began to punish Tucker with his patented offensive style. Olivier landed several shots but much to Tucker's credit he would hang in there and throw some shots of his own, even connecting with Olivier's head a few times. Olivier however was completely undeterred by the offensive output of Tucker and it wasn't long before Olivier landed a devastating shot that buckled the tough Blues defenseman and sent him tumbling to the ice.

It has been some time since Olivier has come out on the wrong end of a scrap at the NHL level and I for one can't wait to see if any of the very tough men competing in the NHL can put a stop to his reign of terror this season.
