The Arizona Coyotes have traded defenseman Matt Dumba, along with a seventh round pick in 2025, to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Arizona receives in a fifth round pick in 2027 in return.
There is no salary retention on Dumba's contract in the transaction.
Dumba was not in the lineup for Thursday night’s game against his former team Minnesota Wild due to trade-related reasons.
The Lightning gets a healthy Dumba, who has four goals, six assists and 10 points while averaging 20:04 minutes per game in 58 contests this season.
He plays a physical game as he is capable of delivering big-time hits, which will be a good addition for the Bolts ahead of the postseason.
