The superstar kid has a rough night in Winnipeg.
Matthew Schaefer is going through it tonight in Winnipeg.
The New York Islanders superstar has left tonight's game against the Winnipeg Jets multiple times due to some apparent injuries.
First off, Schaefer was tabbed by the NHL's concussion spotter early for review after taking a big hit early in the 1st period.
Thankfully though, Schaefer would return to action no worse for wear.
Flash forward a period and Schaefer left the game once again after taking a stick to the midsection. He left the game again briefly but would return to action.
Finally, he blocked a shot late in the 2nd period and suffered in considerable pain on the Islanders' bench.
In total, Schaefer has left the game three times in just 40 minutes of play.
Rough night at the office...
