Matthew Tkachuk and J.T. Miller drop the gloves just 30 seconds into the game!

Tkachuk and Miller waste little time.

Calgary Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk appears to have an uncanny ability to get under the skin of his opponents, and on Saturday night he needed just a few short seconds to do just that in spite of the fact that the opposing team got off to an early lead.

Tkachuk and his Flames were facing the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night and the Flames got off to a rather uninspired start. The boys from Calgary coughed up a very early goal roughly just 30 seconds into the game and Tkachuk may have felt that it was on him to energize his team in an effort to get them to wake up from their slumber. On the ensuing face off Tkachuk immediately dropped the gloves with Canucks veteran forward J.T. Miller, and it seems as though Tkachuk may have said something to the Canucks forward to get him to immediately accept the challenge.

Now I must say that this was not one of the better battles of the season, to be honest it seems as though brother Brady Tkachuk got most of the fighting skill in the family, and it is rather difficult to call one man or the other the winner. Both guys seemed to be pretty evenly matched and neither man landed any major offense with the fight eventually ending in a takedown from Tkachuk.
