Matthew Tkachuk destroys the Maple Leafs after Game 7 loss.
Some serious disrespect from Matthew Tkachuk as he comments on the first round series between Boston and Toronto.
Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk loves to stir the pot, and that is exactly what he has done following the conclusion of the opening round Stanley Cup playoff series between the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs.
As everyone reading this will already know by now, the Bruins dispatched the Maple Leafs in Game 7 of what was an incredibly tight series between the two teams, at least that's what most people seem to think. That list it would seem however does not include the aforementioned Matthew Tkachuk.
Tkachuk shared his thoughts on the series on Sunday and his comments were nothing short of brutal, indicating that no one truly ever believed the players on the Maple Leafs roster would find a way to win.
"Without this coming out too badly I think we all knew it was probably gonna be Boston," admitted Tkachuk. "The way that series was going and I'm sure a lot of people expected that at the beginning of the series. Playoffs I guess you never know but I think throughout the whole series we were probably expecting they were going to come out and win it one way or another."
Something tells me these comments won't be earning Tkachuk any news fans in the city of Toronto.
