Classy move by Tkachuk, right here.

If you thought there was any love lost in the decades old Battle of Alberta well... last night's WILD Game 1 action between the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames should have put that theory to rest.
The two bitter rivals were absolutely all over each other all night and all over the scoreboard too. The Flames ended up with a 9-6 win in a game that featured more twists and turns than an Alberta chinook. And, as usual, Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk was at the center of it all. Tkachuk not only had a hat trick performance, but he was also in the faces of the Oilers all night, particularly Oilers forward Evander Kane.
Tkachuk made himself Public Enemy #1 in the eyes of Oilers fans last night, no doubt... but Tkachuk put aside his usual nastiness for the earlier today to wish one special Oilers fan the best of luck in his battle against cancer.
Check this out:
How good is that?
Tkachuk is, of course, speaking to Oilers superfan Ben Stelter, the young man who is battling Stage 4 cancer and whom the Oilers have taken aboard as a bit of a good luck charm this season. Everyone loves Ben and it's cool to see that even bitter rivals can put aside their differences for a moment to put a smile on a kid's face.
