The guy is a pest even at his own wedding! Wonder what Mrs. Tkachuk thought about that… Watch below:
Florida Panthers star forward Matthew Tkachuk is probably having the best summer of his life. Not only did his Panthers win their second straight Stanley Cup back in June, but Tkachuk also got married and, in the span of 48 hours, was celebrating his wedding and spending the entire day with the prized trophy.
Over the weekend, the Panthers star forward got married to his long-time partner Ellie in what appeared to be a fantastic ceremony surrounded by family, friends and several teammates, with many videos and pictures trending all over social media.
One post especially got people talking in which we can see Matthew’s father and NHL icon Keith Tkachuk being thrown in the air by plenty of NHLers while Matthew’s brother Brady is in the foreground with no shirt on. But the post also notes that, the song ‘Pink Pony Club’ is blasting at the scene. A taunt directly aimed at the Oilers.
After repeating as Stanley Cup champions by beating the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 in Game 6 of the final, the Panthers not only partied on the ice, but also in the dressing room where they played Pink Pony Club, the winning anthem for the Oilers during the postseason. Edmonton would always play the hit song by Chappel Roan after playoff wins.
And now it’s become one of the songs of Tkachuk’s wedding.
I bet the Oilers will have to change their tune ahead of the 2025-26.
