I'm sure Tie Domi was smiling watching this.
While there's almost no doubt that young Max Domi will eclipse his father's NHL legacy in terms of skill and offensive production, many have wondered if there isn't a little bit of his father's notorious mean streak in the youngster.
Wonder no more, because on Tuesday night Max Domi dropped the gloves for his first career NHL fight against a much bigger, a far less skilled man, clearly showing that he was not going to be intimated, especially not by his father's former team.
While it wasn't much of a fight due to both men losing their balance and falling to the ice, it was clear that Domi intended to go hard after Toronto's Peter Holland, who just narrowly avoided getting hit with a huge haymaker from Domi.
Something tells me this won't be the last time we see Domi drop the gloves.
