In what is one of the better seasons of his 11 year NHL career, Max Pacioretty is about to sit one the sidelines. According to the Vegas Golden Knights, the forward is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.

It's not known when Pacioretty got the injury. He played in the Golden Knights' last game, picking up an assist in a 3-0 win over New Jersey Tuesday.

In 71 games this season, Pacioretty has 32 goals and 34 assists for 66 points. His assists total matches a previous career high, while his point total is two away from a new career best.

His injury is the latest in a long list for the Vegas Golden Knights. Mark Stone, Alex Tuch, Chandler Stephenson and Cody Glass are all dealing with issues at the moment.

Vegas currently sit first in the Pacific division with 86 points, three ahead of second place Edmonton.
