McDavid destroys the competition in annual NHL players’ poll
NHLPA

The NHL Players’ Association (NHLPA) have conducted their annual anonymous players’ poll asking the questions like:

“Who is the best forward?”

”Who is the most complete player?”

“If you need to win one game, who is the one player (any position) you would want on your team?”

The answer to each of those questions, by the way, is Sidney Crosby. Well… almost. Connor McDavid took home the prize for best forward with Crosby coming in second, but a whopping 44% of NHL players said they’d want Crosby on their team in a do or die situation. 45% of players named Crosby as the most complete player in the NHL. Incredible.

Now… about that “best forward” question. It’s worth mentioning that not only did McDavid beat Sid the Kid, he demolished him with a whopping 68% of the vote. Crosby came in second at just 14%, while Nathan MacKinnon grabbed 6% of the vote and Nikita Kucherov less than 3%.

Pretty safe to say that McDavid is the players’ champ.
